Does Tel-e-Log use Premium Rate Numbers?
It depends which Recording Plan you choose. Some users have a need for very occasional calls, in this case it is more cost effective to pay on a casual basis using Premium Rate numbers. For business users who expect to record more than 30 minutes of conversations per month, it is more cost effective to use our 'Included Minutes' payment option. To view our Payment Options click here.

No, the major advantage of the eRecord system is that provided you can make a telephone call to our system, and enter DTMF tones, then the call will be recorded.
To key in User ID, PassCode, telephone numbers and menu options the telephone you use must dial by sending tones, known as "Dual Tone Multi Frequency" (DTMF), the phone is said to "Tone Dial", and is sometimes called "Touch-Tone".
Some older phones can be switched between "Tone Dial" and "Pulse Dial", which is the older method of dialling, and some even older phones can only "Pulse Dial".
Our services do not respond to "Pulse Dial", so you must either switch your phone to "Tone Dial" if possible, or obtain a newer "Tone Dial" model.

Why am I having trouble downloading email attached recordings from my "Webmail"The recordings are provided as "mp3" files.
When you download recordings from a "webmail" provider such as Yahoo or Hotmail and so on, you are given the option to "open" or "save" the file.
If you select open, your PC needs to "associate" the mp3 type file with an application such as "Windows Media Player".
Depending on your operating system you will be given the opportunity to select an appropriate application. More details to follow.

Visitors can browse parts of the website completely freely but need to be registered users to access some parts, especially user private areas, where user details and call recordings are available.
The user areas are protected by a User Name and Password.
The User Name adopted by the system is the full email address that a user entered at registration e.g. "myname@anisp.co.uk". The email address is used as it is unique - provided it is entered correctly - and will therefore not be confused with any other user.
The Password is randomly generated, and is sent by email to users when they register or when they request a new password.
The User Name must be entered exactly as originally typed, i.e. no spaces at the beginning, middle, or end, and in the same case, i.e. using the example above: myname@anisp.co.uk NOT MyName@anisp.co.uk !
The PassWord likewise must be entered with no spaces, and in the same case - as it is generated.
All these details, and access codes for making call recordings, are presented on screen after successful registration, and sent to the registered email address.

The Internet Explorer used on Windows XP has an embedded media player for MP3 files. The player can be set to play media files directly, so users are not always offered the choice of opening or playing the file.
There is also a bug, so all in all it is best not to use it, so to avoid using it:
From the menu bar of Internet Explorer: Select - "View"-"Explorer Bar"-"Media" to open the media player left hand panel.
Then, from the Media Player in the left panel: Select - "Media Options" - "Settings"- and 'un-tick' the "Play Web Media in the Bar" option. Close the left hand "Media" panel, and CLOSE I-Explorer!
Open Internet Explorer and navigate to "Your Calls". When you download a recording you will get a question box which will ask the "Open, Save or cancel" question. Selecting Open will play the recording in the media player associated with MP3 files.
Under certain circumstances the Media Player reports "File not found", in which case save the file and play it in Media Player by double clicking it for Explorer.
