How to start making recordings:

Hello , to make recordings and enter your details you need a "touch-Tone" phone, here are the details for YOU to use: (click here for a summary)

  1. Dial the telephone access number
  2. When Tel-e-Log answers, it will ask you to enter your User ID:
  3. Key in your User ID on the telephone keypad, it will be checked and you will be asked to enter your Pass Code:
  4. Key in the Pass Code, which will be checked, and when you hear the dial tone, dial the full telephone number (including area code) of the person you wish to call, and press #.

You can also make calls by defining and using a "Quick Dial", or simply record a message by keying *00#.

When the call is answered, it will be recorded. (See our guidlines regarding third party access to recordings.)

When the call finishes, you can simply hang up, or Press # to stay on the line to listen to the options:

  1. Options are:
    1. To record a comment that will be added to the beginning of the recording so that you can summarise the call recording.
    2. or 0. To continue to the Next Options
  2. Options are:
    1. To send an email containing the recording to yourself.
    2. To send it to a colleague at your secondary email address.(See "third party access to recordings")
    3. or 0. To continue, without sending an email, and make another call or hangup.

Note: you can set your calls to be "automatically" emailed to your primary or secondary address: change "Auto Email".

How to listen to and manage your recordings:

First ensure you read our Terms Of Use for the Tel-e-Log web site.

  1. Using a web browser, log onto http://recordmyphonecall.co.uk/telelog
  2. Select 'My Account'
  3. Enter your User Name:
  4. and Password: This was sent to you by email - keep it secret!

You may now view, search, listen, add comments, delete and download your Recordings.


Important Note: - Your PC will need to have a sound card system attached and a Windows Media Player to listen to Recordings.


Your recordings will be stored on our site for 90 days, after which they will be automatically deleted. We will send you a warning message when we are about to delete calls so you can download them to your PC for permanent storage.

Note:

  1. If you have forgotten your password you can request a new one here.
  2. You cannot change your User Name: , which is the email address that you gave at registration, but you can change your email address: ,which is used for contact purposes.
