Recording Established UK and International Calls using Tel-e-Log

Using Tel-e-Log to record a call that is already in progress.

You can use Tel-e-Log to record calls that:

  • You have already started.
  • Or - You have received.

Once a call is established, either one you are making or one you have received, you can record it using Tel-e-Log and "three way calling", which is generally a feature provided by your telephone network provider. Sometimes this is called "call conferencing".

Warn the other party that you must break the call for a moment and you will be back, perform the key presses to set up a "three way call" as required by your telephone provider, and make a call to Tel-e-Log .

When Tel-e-Log answers and you are recognised, either by keying in your user details or having the phone you are using recognised, and you are given a dial tone; key *00# which will simply record the rest of the call without making an ongoing call.

Perform the key presses to connect all three together, e.g. for BT key "break" and "3", and the call will be recorded and stored in your account.

To make a "three way call" with BT; key "break", wait for the dial tone and dial the number you want. If you want to record the call, then dial the Tel-e-Log service number for your account.

BT, and many other network operators, provide "three way calling", without having to set it up on your account, but it is quite expensive when not set up, so it is best to have the facility added to your account for a few pounds a quarter.
